When I speak to solopreneurs, I usually hear one of two things
“I don’t know where to start with PR”
“I feel overwhelmed with all of the things I have to do to promote my business – blogging, podcasting, press, social media, email marketing and so on … ”
I get that, I really do. There’s a lot of pressure on solopreneurs to be everything to everyone when it comes to PR and that’s just not right. You don’t need to be on every single social media channel out there, you don’t need to have a podcast and a blog and create 10 online courses while trying to manage and grow your business.
What you need to do is have a clear focus on activity that works for you. In other words, you need to have a clear strategy. That’s what I teach members first and foremost – it’s important to do PR activity that actually works for the people you’re targeting.
